Booking a Stay

The IHH accepts referrals from the Aboriginal Liaison Officers, Social Workers and regional/rural health workers.

We generally take referrals for up to a week. For longer stays we can extend bookings on a weekly basis.

Here is the guest booklet that guests receive when they come to stay.

Give us a call on 03 9387 7557.

Here is a map of inner-Melbourne hospitals and public transport.  The IHH is just off the map at the top right-hand corner.

Our Accommodation

We have two rooms. One has a queen bed and single bed, with space on the floor for a mattress.

The other with has a bunk bed (single on the top, double on the bottom).

Each referral will have a room to themselves. We do not ask people who don’t know each other to share a room.

In this video, Mia does a short tour of the house, explaining what hospital guests can expect at IHH:

Please note

The IHH provides a safe, culturally affirming place to stay, enjoy a meal, and have a yarn. Our aim is that guests feel at home, a sense of peace, and respected.

The residents at the IHH are volunteers and are not social workers or community welfare workers. If the guest requires this type of support, we ask that the referrer be available to support the guest.

The IHH is a drug and alcohol free space.

The IHH does not receive any government funding but relies only on support from the community.

If you have any more questions, feel free to call us on the number above.
